Maureen FitzSimons, better known as Maureen O'Hara in America, was an exceptional child. For a young Irish girl surrounded with gifted parents and extended family these qualities were normal. Maureen entered this caring haven on August 17 1920 located in Ranelagh (a suburb within Dublin), Ireland. Marguerita Lu. FitzSimons had a successful contralto. The father of her, Charles FitzSimons, managed an enterprise in Dublin as well as owned a part of the renowned Irish soccer team "The Shamrock Rovers." Maureen FitzSimons was the daughter of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy, Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons made up this beautiful family. Maureen enjoyed rough sports as young and became very good at it. The combination of this natural interest and her talent in performing was astonishing. As evidenced by receiving nearly every Feis award for drama and theatrical performing her country offered. Her acceptance at the Abbey Theater by age 14 She then continued to pursue her dream of opera as well as classical theater and singing.
